How to slow down the process of getting wrinkles
Unless you’re blessed with excellent genes, or know the secrets of alchemists, you’ll be worried about wrinkles sooner or later. Wrinkles are a primary sign of aging, and while they cannot be prevented, there are things you can do to delay it. Below are tips on how to slow down the process of getting wrinkles.
How to Slow Down the Process of Getting Wrinkles:
Sunscreen – Due to changes in the atmosphere, getting a sun tan now is more threatening than ever to the skin. Avoid UV exposure by always using a sunscreen lotion. Don’t worry about your body’s need for vitamin D as this will not be affected.
Diet – Next to genes, the food you eat has the strongest influence on your skin condition. Avoid greasy and fatty foods. Eat dairy products and junk food in moderation. Your diet must consist mainly of fruits and vegetables. Carrots, tomatoes, avocadoes, oranges, cucumber and other yellow and green leafy vegetables are good for slowing down the wrinkle process. When you follow a diet heavy on fruits and light on meats (especially red meat), you will find your skin improves naturally.
Habits – Stop any form of physical self-abuse, such as smoking, excessive alcohol and even coffee. Any imbalance in the body due to addiction can affect how you look. Even sex addiction – and the frequent release of fluids – can and do cause premature aging and wrinkles.
Creams – Bottled skin creams can sometimes do more harm than good. Some anti-aging or wrinkle-presentation creams may cause an allergic reaction in you. But if you find one that works for you, there is no reason why you should not use it. If you do not like artificial products, try natural remedies. Cucumber wash is excellent for keeping the skin clean. On the other hand, you can use egg whites as a mask to nourish your skin and keep it smooth and supple.
Exercise – Keep your body supple and youthful through yoga. This is the best type of exercise for arresting the effects of aging. Regular yoga practice keeps you looking young, healthy and flexible. Blood flows well and the skin is elastic and healthy-looking. Yoga is good not only because it stretches rarely used body parts; it also activates various bodily organs and glands through squeezing, bending and twisting. This, in turn, nourishes all parts of the body including the skin.
Sleep – Last but not least for slowing down the process of getting wrinkles, is sleep! Sleep for at least 8 hours a day. Be sure to catch a nap at midday even if you can’t make the full 8 hours. Irregular sleeping patterns make you look old and tired. Regular and ample sleep gives your body the rest it needs and helps keep it younger, longer.
Above all, be happy! Don’t worry over the tiniest things, even skin wrinkles. Each day has enough worries of its own. Never make things harder than they really are! There is a saying, “As the mind thinks, so you become.” Think young, and you will look and feel young!
